I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram forty-six is called Sheng or Ascending. Another interpretation is Pushing Upward. The lower trigram is Xun: ground or wind, and the upper trigram is Kun: field or earth.

B. The Judgment

   1. Pushing Upward has supreme success.
One must see the great man. Fear not.
   2. Departure towards the south

       Brings good fortune.

C. The Image

  1. Within the earth, wood grows:
      a) The image of Pushing Upward.
      b) Thus the superior man of devoted character

           Heaps up small things
In order to achieve something high and great.

II. My interpretation

A. "Ascending"

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram fifty-three parallels that of self-development, or just plain old developmental change.  The situation is named Jian or infiltrating. Additional variations are just as I have said, development, gradual progress, and advancement. the lower trigram is gen: bound or mountain. The upper trigram is xun: wind.

   1. Development, The maiden is given in marriage.
        Good fortune brings good fortune.
   2. Perseverance furthers.

B. The Image

  1. On the mountain, a tree.
      a) Now we can see the image of developmental growth.
      b) Thus the superior man abides in dignity and virtue,

in order to improve the mores.

II. My interpretation

A. "Development"

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram twenty-seven follows the notion of nourishment or swallowing. Additional variations are The Corners of the Mouth, Providing Nourishment, Jaws, Comfort, and Security. The lower trigram is Zhen: shake or thunder, and the upper trigram is Gen: bound or mountain.

   1. The Corners of the Mouth.
        Perseverance brings good fortune.
   2. Pay heed to the providing of nourishment.

And to what a man seeks.
To fill his own mouth with.

B. The Image

  1. At the foot of the mountain, thunder.
      a) The image of Providing Nourishment.
      b) Thus the superior man is careful of his words.

      c) And temperate in eating and drinking.

II. My interpretation

A. "Nourishment"

The storyline with this hexagram: we see one person observing what is being given as nourishment to another group of people. The queue is on correctly understanding why it is vital that one maintains close to perfect dietary commitments -- alongside that of one being able to control what comes out of the mouth as well. Do these things and good fortune will logically follow.

Goodie's I Ching - #45 Gathering Together (Hexagram)

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram forty-five follows it's course as its's attempts to garner speech and influence others at a crucial gathering. I think they already know that.

   1. Gathering Together. The King approaches his temple.
Everything is now favorable, all is good.
   2. Success, Perseverance furthers in the long-term.

To bring great offerings creates good fortune.
It furthers one to undertake something.

B. The Image

  1. The Lake over The Earth
      a) The image of Gathering Together.
      b) A good time to meet with the great man.

      c) Thus the superior man renews his weapons --
In order to meet the unforeseen.

II. My interpretation

A. "Stay the Course"

It is very wise that one cares for one's self as one might care for another. Illness can at some point spread to that of the caregiver.

Gatherings are good for directly keeping all prominent stakeholders in the loop, but there is a half chance of contracting some type of contagious bug. You know that thing that Mosquitoes do.
All is well because someone brought a very valuable gift to the table. Could it be knowledge -- or is it that over time the caregiver has with great success overcame most societal illusions -- and to that extent, endured.

Now, remember, to expect illness is one matter, but don't accept mal-directed public sentiment which mandates these terms -- that is not the way the bus, in reality, is headed. Look into your crystal ball and find somewhere very auspicious to go. And remember also, there's always going to be your strategic responsibilities, and eating away at that, will be small malaise attacks upon your shinning merits, in your judgments, "Be reasonable."

Above all, think of the results of being sincere to the end with your aforesaid intentions, not wavering in our own set responsibilities. That is just a mirage, "Stay The Course", be true to yourself and the people you care for, never mislead.

Good Morning H-54

The Marrying Maiden

Bookmark and Share

by James Byrd

I.The Oracle

A. Gen. Meaning

Now with this situation, I can say with very little doubt, that there will be nothing to be gained by advancing in just about any direction at this time. "Go Easy." The Marrying Maiden is accompanied by her younger sister who is the vested consort.

With these terms, all is well, but if by chance the consort is the older of the two, all will not go well. And of course, twins would make for a very difficult situation. It's a "Domestic Dispute", he turns and walks away. Time Out. Go and believe what you see.

On all accounts, the marriage can without penalties be canceled until one or two of the variables are favorably adjusted. To hold such an important event as a wedding at such an inopportune moment, would be the same as a cloudy sky but no rain.

   1. The Marrying Maiden.
   2. This means the end of life as a maiden and the beginning of motherhood for a young girl, that is if that position is adopted at the correct time.

B. The Image

  1. Thunder over the Lake
      a) The focus, one must know this, in order for there to be a favorable ending, one must take measures to ensure that there is a correct and timely beginning. One must have a plan just as in business, a journal of some sort. Make adjustments as you might deem viable to the outcome of your personal plan from, "Start To Finish."
      b) Thus the superior man is careful in the differentiation of things so that each finds its correct place and time. Now I ask you, is the moon nearly full now? The situations ripen as we move towards the day of that celestial event.

II.My interpretation

A. The main theme with Hexagram 54; do not be overoptimistic at this time, check all variables of a crucial upcoming event. Things, according to the general precedence of this hexagram, could go wrong during the duration of a quick marriage, if granted at an inopportune moment.

   1. I agree, no one is perfect but people try at best to ensure that the happiness of that significant other is handled with care when planning such a memorable event as an, one and only, everlasting wedding, or something of great significance. I can also say this, after the next full moon, go for it. -"This is full, that is full."- Could be that is why, -Honey Moon.- Marriage is good, but we must start with a good beginning in order to end with a good and auspicious duration which should lead to that of Abundance, all parts working right, crank-out some more of those. Remember the situation from the start, there where two brides and one groom, what would you do? Always do the right thing.
