I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram 32 is Heng, or Preserving. Further variations are Duration and Constancy. The lower trigram is Xun: ground or wind, and the upper trigram is Zhen: shake or thunder.

B. The Judgment

   1. Duration. Success. No blame.
       Perseverance furthers.
   2. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.

C. The Image

  1. Thunder and wind: the image of duration.
  2. Thus the superior man stands firm

And does not change his direction.

II. My interpretation

A. "Constancy"

The key idea with this hexagram is staying our original goal, which is, maintaining a dogma so to speak, from start to everlasting. Staying the course will, just as an attack on a city, not mean that that municipality must for the sake of damage, misalign its original aim.

A good sign of constancy is the sun rising every day. I remember once here recently I awake at 9: pm at night and I was thinking it was about 9:00 am. I went out for the morning walk and witness people queuing to go into the night clubs. I kept thinking secretly when was the sun coming up?  Be consistent as the rising sun.

From the start, there must be some type of small steps towards the desired goal – such as with my college motto which states, one has to “Start To Finish”, but not only that, in between the start and finish clause there must consistency to the tune of maintaining one’s integrity throughout the extent of steps taken towards a favorable goal. Another example would be the movement of a football from one end zone to the other without breaking the rules of the game.

Holding on to the past as we move forward is like a court stenographer in a modern courtroom, which is no longer needed due to the modern age of video cameras from all angles. But having live feeds of all activity within a courthouse could cause somewhat of a problem, because we would be overcorrecting our true intensions.

One must maintain his or her modus operand throughout the process scaling towards their well-established outcomes.

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram 26 is Da Chu or Great Accumulating. And no, it doesn't have anything to do with all that stuff accumulating in your garage! Various interpretations also include The Taming Power of the Great and Great Storage. The lower trigram is Qian: force or heaven. The upper trigram is Gen: bound or mountain.

B. The Judgment

   1. The Taming Power of the Great.
       Perseverance furthers.
   2. Not eating at home brings good fortune.
It furthers one to cross the great water.

C. The Image

  1. Heaven within the mountain:
The image of The Taming Power of the Great.
  2. Thus the superior man acquaints himself with many sayings of antiquity

And many deeds of the past,
In order to strengthen his character thereby.

II. My interpretation

A. "Great Accumulating"

Much More.....Soon!

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram 42 is Yi, or Augmenting. Another variation is Increase. Its lower trigram is Zhen: shake or thunder, and its upper trigram is Xun: ground or wind.

B. The Judgment

   1. Increase. It furthers one
       To undertake something.
   2.   It furthers one to cross the great water.

C. The Image

  1. Wind and thunder: the image of increase.
      a) Thus the superior man: if he sees good, he imitates it;
      b) If he has faults, he rids himself of them.

II. My interpretation

A. "Increase"

Good Morning H-9

I.The oracle

A. Hexagram nine has more to do with the Superior man refining the outward aspect of his nature. Another variation is the idea of leaving the way of Tao and returning to it with loyal credence, in short, stay with what you know deep down in your being as right action: returning is good but try at best to be, and here comes my favorite word, "Consistent." "Be Consistent."

   1. You may stray from The Way, if you stop along the way, you should always find your way back, and this is all due to loyalty and understanding of The Way.
   2. Know that Success comes with being a strategic decision-maker, know which way to go? We see clouds coming from the west, will there be rain? Don't be capricious, trust your perception.

B. The Image

  1. Wind above, Heaven below
      a) The image of The Taming Power of the Small
      b) Thus with this, we see an impending storm, do not forestall your position of staying on the path of Tao.

II. My interpretation

A. The main understanding with Hexagram 9 is, one must stay on the way, refining one’s integrity and basic beliefs. Stay with your first thought about various conflicts, the same can be said about clouds gathering in the western sky and moving towards your direction. First though, the expectation of rain, with this image you should withdraw and seek shelter soon. But please return to The Way.
   1. The full moon draws near, attracts danger for a woman, misfortune for a gentleman, but don’t you get carried away by these times. Remember, there is value in small accumulations before the storm, but try not to enrich yourself at your neighbor’s expense. Again, don't change your mind, stay on the Path.
